Experience the competitive fun of sports at world-class facilities
while connecting with other recreationally minded Gay Days Weekenders
at ONE MIGHTY WEEKEND OF SPORTS — Johnny Chisholm’s newest addition
to a lineup of great events hosted on Disney properties.
Athletes, friends and family are all invited to join
in what is sure to become an awesome new GLBT tradition, at a dream
destination for sports enthusiasts: the DISNEY
WIDE WORLD OF SPORTS© COMPLEX,
where softball,
volleyball
and tennis competitions
and a 5K run
will take place at Olympic-caliber venues. ONE MIGHTY WEEKEND OF SPORTS
goes from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Friday, June 6 through Sunday, June 8.
Registration
is now open (CLICK
HERE for details). The cost is just $25.00, and except for the
5K run, registration
is limited to one sport (softball,
volleyball
or tennis) per
participant. Softball,
volleyball or
tennis registrants
may also compete in the 5K
run, for an additional $25.00. Softball,
volleyball
and tennis registration
closes June 2nd, and the registration
deadline for the 5K
run is June 7th.
Participants can pick up their registration materials
on Thursday, June 5 at the sports registration center, located in
the ONE
MIGHTY WEEKEND EXPO hall at the BUENA
VISTA PALACE HOTEL & SPA. Registrants will receive a collectible
participant ID and promos including discounts at area merchants and
special online giveaways good through 2008. Staff coordinators for
ONE MIGHTY WEEKEND of SPORTS will be on hand to answer any questions.
